Common Food Allergens

A food allergy is an immune system response to a food that the body mistakenly believes is harmful.  Although an individual could be allergic to any food, there are eight foods that account for 90% of all food-allergic reactions:

Milk:  all of our desserts are dairy-free.  No milk, no cheese, no dairy derivatives at all!

Egg:  all of our desserts are egg-free.

Tree Nuts and Peanuts:  some desserts do contain peanuts, peanut butter or tree nuts and their nut butters or milk.  Generally speaking, most desserts are or can be made nut-free;  however, our baking facility is not tree nut or peanut-free.

Fish and Shellfish:  this one isn’t very relevant to baking, unless you’re worried about cross-contamination.  The Bliss Bakery kitchen is fish and shelfish-free always!  No need to worry about cross-contamination.

Soy:  some desserts do contain soy, but most can be made soy-free upon request.

Wheat/Gluten:  At this time, we do not offer any gluten or wheat-free dessert options.  We hope to in the future, so check back often!
